awareness

[There is] a juncture to which full awareness inevitably leads. One stands before the abyss and decides how to face the pitiless existential facts of life. Of course, there are no solutions. One has a choice only to be ‘resolute,’ ‘engaged,’ courageously defiant, stoically accepting or to, in awe of mystery, place one’s trust in the providence of the divine.

    “. . . place one’s trust in the providence of the divine.”

    Awareness is something that we are rarely taught to look for in our lives, something that is rarely mentioned in our youth, and in some cases an ideal that is talked about more than applied.

    Yet it is our ability to shed our doubts, quiet our stream of subconscious inner dialog, and base our decisions NOT on past experiences that have no baring on our present situations but on the present that help us build our awareness.
